Incorporates OUDP settings for Sniffer High Split (S-HS) equipment.
SnifferConfigUtility_V1029.zip file updated February 3, 2023 containing the “SnifferConfigSetup.exe” setup executable. Download zip file, unzip the setup file onto local drive, access “SnifferConfigSetup.exe” file to run installation. 5 firmware files will be extracted into a sub-folder labeled “FW” under the root “SnifferConfig” folder created on the computer’s hard drive. Typical location: “C:\Program Files\ComSonics,Inc\

OFDM and OUDP measurement enhancements.
Must have downloaded and installed latest Sniffer Configuration Utility V1.0.29 above.
Download and save the “HS_DSP_V005.zip” file onto your PC. Unzip the and save the “HS_DSP_005.gnx” file. Recommended location: “FW” folder nested under installation default QAM Sniffer Config folder on your “C:” drive ( C:\Program Files(x86)\ComSonics.Inc\QamSnifferConfig\FW).
To update desired Sniffer High Split device: 1) Device must be powered and 2) USB comm cable connected. Access the QAM Sniffer Configuration utility “Firmware Download” option listed under “File” drop menu. In the “FWUpdate” pop up screen, under the DSP Firmware section, select “DSP File” and navigate to the “HS_DSP_005.gnx” file when prompted to select file. Then, select “Upload”. A progress bar will appear along with a completion status notification.
QAM Sniffer III / Sniffer High Split V012 Firmware update May 29, 2024.
Adds new “Band” measurement display function (enabled via Configuration Utility). Can select specific measurements within an enabled Band by pressing the “BAND” button on Keypad.
OUDP measurement display. Press the “MODE” button to change “peak hold” to “Round Robin” time setting. Stabilizes burst OUDP readings.
M3 mode is now enabled by pressing and holding the “MODE” button on the keypad.
Download and save the “QS3_BINARY_V012” zip file onto your PC. Unzip and save actual “QS3_BINARY_V012” file onto local drive. Recommended location: “FW” folder nested under installation default QAM Sniffer Config folder on your “C:” drive ( C:\Program Files(x86)\ComSonics.Inc\
Utilize the Sniffer Configuration Utility “firmware download” option listed under “File” drop menu to update desired QAM Sniffer DF device. Navigate to the “QS3_BINARY_V012” file when prompted to select file during firmware update process.
